Booked several months ago 2 nights b/b Xmas eve Xmas night £200 on arrival we were shown to our room basic but clean and comfortable, however on asking the b/fast times we were promptly told there is no b/fast as we are closed for 3 days over xmas,it clearly states on our booking b/fast included,if I had been told this information but the management sooner i would have made other arrangements we were given a £30 refund and a free drink in the bar,we were able to book b/fast at the half moon thank you Kerry for allowing us to join you the cost for 1days b/fast was £17.50.other than that we had a wonderful Christmas in sherbourne but wouldn't book the Britannia inn again.
Lovely location
Management need to communicate with his guests if circumstances at the inn change after all the Britannia inn had my email and contact number and our disappointment could have been avoided

My stay at The Britannia Inn was absolutely mind-blowing. The beds were unbelievably comfy, like sleeping on a cloud. I was blown away by the complimentary shower gels and shampoo, what a pleasant surprise! The Wi-Fi was jaw-droppingly fast and reliable, perfect for streaming and staying connected. The courtyard garden was a hidden gem, a great spot to relax with a drink. The draft beer at the bar was super tasty. The location was incredible, right in the heart of the town but on a peaceful road. The provision of bottled water and real glasses was a thoughtful touch. The room and bathroom were both spacious, and the cottage behind the abbey added to its charm. Yes, I could hear the bell ringing, but it didn't bother me at all. The bed itself was super comfortable. an amazing stay with top-notch amenities.

Loved the cozy atmosphere, the delicious drinks, and the tasty menu options. The Monday & Thursday cask ales selection at £2.79 all day made me smile.
Being a wine lover, I was thrilled that they don't offer any fruity reds, crisp whites, or refreshing rosés. Definitely my cup of tea.

The hotel’s central location in the beautiful town of Sherborne makes it a perfect choice for a weekend break. The staff at the hotel are friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist and provide helpful advice. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the amenities one could ask for, including a large TV with freeview channels. This place was absolutely perfect for our needs! The room was super clean and had everything we required, including amazingly fast wi-fi. The owner was really friendly and went out of her way to help us, even though we had to wake her up. The location was great, right in the heart of the town, and we could park for free outside. The bed was big and comfy, and although it was a little soft for my liking, it was still really comfortable. The courtyard garden was a lovely spot to relax with a drink, and the draft beer at the bar was top-notch. The whole place was surprisingly quiet considering it was in the center of town, and the bell ringing from the abbey added a quirky charm to the experience. I loved that they provided bottled water and real glasses, it was a thoughtful touch. The room and bathroom were spacious, and the cottage behind the abbey was a unique feature. The bed was actually really comfortable too.

The hotel is conveniently located near a historic abbey and the heart of town. the rooms are spacious and offer comfortable beds. Customers can access free Wi-Fi and enjoy amenities such as a beautiful courtyard garden, bottled water, and real glasses. If you need privacy, the owner provides unobtrusive service and secure car parking. the bathrooms are tidy, have a lovely shower, and offer essentials such as coffee and tea.
Although some rooms are on a quiet street, some customers have encountered noisy crowds from the pub downstairs, which could affect sleep quality.

We spent our Christmas at this hotel and we were pleased with its central location and friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the added touch of the complimentary toiletries. The traditional Christmas dinner served at the hotel's restaurant was delicious and the staff was attentive to our needs.
The check-in process was a bit disorganized, and we had to wait for a while to get our room key. , the room lacked some basic amenities such as a wardrobe or hangars to store our clothes.
